Because of its elaborate design, the Mikasa Jamestown lines works best with formal dinnerware which means fine china or bone china.  Because of its elaborate design and inlaid metallic portions, it probably will not harmonize well with standard, everyday types of dinnerware.  Of course, all of these items are not dishwasher safe and must be hand washed if not just because of their delicate design but because of the inlaid metallic elements as well.
